About me

Shailesh Male, MD
Board-Certified Neurologist
Stroke & Interventional Neurology
ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC

I am a board-certified neurologist with additional expertise in stroke and interventional neurology. I currently practice at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, where I work in a busy, clinically active environment alongside trainees and colleagues with a strong commitment to education.

The idea for this website and its accompanying videos grew out of my experience caring for patients who genuinely want accurate, trustworthy information to better understand their health. Over time, I noticed growing uncertainty and declining confidence among patients—often not due to a lack of understanding, but due to the overwhelming volume of fragmented or misleading information online.

NeuroClarified is my response to that gap.

My goal is to provide clear, science-based, no-nonsense neurological education—content that respects the reader’s intelligence while remaining accessible and grounded in evidence.

Two Audiences, Two Paths

This platform is designed to serve two distinct but equally important audiences:

For Patients: Accessible, guided explanations focused on symptoms, diagnoses, and brain health—designed to promote understanding and informed discussions with healthcare providers.

For Healthcare Professionals: More technical content emphasizing clinical reasoning, imaging, evidence-based decision-making, and evolving neurological practice.

Why This Matters

Neurology is a rapidly evolving field. Whether you are a clinician seeking updated insights or a patient navigating a new diagnosis, the information gap can be overwhelming. NeuroClarified was created to help bridge that gap—clearly, responsibly, and without unnecessary noise.

I also welcome feedback. If there are topics you would like addressed or ways this platform could better serve your needs, please feel free to reach out through the contact page.
